Yesterday I was bottling mead but today I got a chance to wire up the buffers and tie in the coupling capacitors. This completes installation of all the signal chain components. All that’s left on the assembly is the final power supply wiring.
Here’s how the assembly looks today.
Now I need to decide if I’m going to perform an initial operational checkout on this assembly before I install it in the chassis. I am currently leaning in that direction because, if something is wrong and I need to work on the assembly with it in the chassis, making repairs would be far more difficult that now.
As always, questions and comments are welcome.
Definitely test the tube assembly before installation. I always test my subassemblies before final installation – has saved my backside more than once.
