After some delay I have managed to finish all the metal work for the Marblewood Upgrade Amplifier. Hereafter referred to as the 6V6 Curly Maple Amplifier.
The metal is now all fit to the chassis and all the drilling (metal and chassis) is complete. Now it’s time to move on to all the finishing work.
The wood chassis is going to get a light finish sanding and then multiple coats of a penetrating oil finish. The top plate will get a semi-gloss black finish to match the front plates. The rear and bottom plates will get a buff aluminum finish as I described in this post.
Once all the finishing work is complete, it will be time to begin assembly. I really like how this project is shaping up.
As always, questions and comments are welcome.
It looks wonderful, I hope it goes well.
I agree – Looks Great!
