To anyone trying to get in touch with me for the last couple of months, I apologize if I didn’t get back to you. It’s been a couple of bad months.
As I mentioned previously, I have been helping build a house. Well in September I fell off a ladder. I had my safety harness on and was tied off, but the safety line came up under my arm and I injured my shoulder. And as my doctor so cheerfully proclaimed, “shoulders hurt!” This is a huge understatement. So after a couple of weeks convalescing and just as I was getting back to being able to move around and get things done, I had yet another setback.
On October 4th I came down with what I thought was a simple cold. But as the week progressed it developed into a bad flu combined with pneumonia. I was in bed for about two weeks and lost over 10 pounds. I am only now back to normal and getting my energy back.
During this period, my support of email and the web site was spotty at best. I am now looking forward to getting back to work on the SET project and making some serious progress. Again, sorry if I haven’t gotten back to you. I’m planning on spending the next couple of days trying to get caught up.
Hey Matt – Sounds like you have been through the mill but I am glad you are on the mend. Looking forward to following your progress on the SET.
Sorry to hear Matt. Hope you recover and get the projects going soon. Your work is inspiring.
Matt,
Take the advice of an old geezer – stay off them ladders. These days, I pay people to climb for me. I used to be an avid home improvement DIY’er, but anymore I pay people to do the work, I just plan and supervise (actually, that’s what I did during my working career). Play it safe, stay at the bench in the shop and keep building them amps.
Take care,
Dave K.
God Bless you Matt. Despite your circumstances its good to hear from you and I thank you for keeping us in the loop. Take care.
Take care Matt hope for comprehensive recovery. Ladders, power tools and electricity are always there to remind us we’re only human and frail if they get the better of us. Murphy’s Law seem apply especially in the circumstances.
Health, family, blah, blah, blah, then tubes. Life priorities, no need to apologize for delays. You’ll get back someday and we’ll be here.
Matt,
I am sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well, but I am glad that are doing better now. Hopefully being able to do some work on you bench will be therapeutic.
Dan
