It seems I’m nothing if not predictable. I’m just really getting going on the assembly of the Marblewood upgrade amplifier and I’m already doing design work for another project. This is in addition to the two other amplifiers which are already in the queue.
I spent some time this afternoon working on a gain stage for a project I’ve been thinking about. It’s amazing how a single tube can be responsible for this much chaos on my work desk.
But these little work sessions are important. They allow me to bridge the gap between paper designs and abstract mathematics and the actual operation of a circuit in real world conditions.
There are more investigations to perform for this particular project, but that’s with the prototyping station and a different tube and circuit. With luck things will go as smoothly as they did this afternoon.
